About Me...

The relevant stuff...

~ Practicing shiatsu since 2004 (graduated from the Int'l School of Shiatsu in 2007). Before that, stay-at-home mom of four homeschooled boys. Before that, a graduate in Graphic Design from the Art Institute of Philadelphia (1986).

~ Who/what informs my practice: Raising four kids (and currently transitioning into single mom-hood), home birthing, un/homeschooling, Qigong, Quakerism... Shizuto Masunaga (founded Zen Shiatsu), Jean Liedloff (wrote "The Continuum Concept"), the late John Holt (wrote oodles about un/homeschooling), Brad Blanton (wrote "Radical Honesty"), Byron Katie (wrote, "Loving What Is").

~ Others of Influence: Saul Goodman, Dr. Yang, Jwing-Ming, Mark Silver, Havi Brooks, Leonie Allen, Jen Hofman, Evelyn Glennie, Christine Pirello, Diane Hynes. My Quaker 'sangha'. My collegue and Very Good Friend, Bill Bryan, with whom I've had endless conversations of depth and substance. Every single client I've ever had.

~ My philosophy: I believe we are meant to be vibrant, creative, joyful beings... in full cooperation and alignment with s/he Whom created us. I believe that we are meant to live lives full of meaning, purpose and connection. Oneness. And I believe that one way to feel our way through to this holy purpose is by way of removing the restrictions in our physical bodies that prohibit our sense of awareness and connection.

Sound wifty and woo-woo?

Perhaps. Okay, so, I believe that when we feel better, we're happier and more loving human beings.

It's win-win, really.
