An ongoing part exercise, part self-massage, part meditation, part informal discussion, Q & A and support group ... this hour will be for us to explore relevant topics through the lens of shiatsu and Chinese Medicine, with informal and fun sharing of stretches, exercises, breathing techniques and self-massage routines to support you in a ongoing self-care routine.
Want to introduce someone to shiatsu and an Eastern perspective of well-being?
Discussion about health-related topics and curiosity are encouraged!

~ The Challenge of Self-Care
~ Finding Your Rhythm with the Seasons (Five Element Theory)
~ Navigating Your Female Cycles with Grace
And the self-care routines we'll be learning:
~ Makka Ho Otherwise known as 'meridian stretches', this simple set of six yoga-like exercises devised by Shizuto Masunaga activates the flow and enhances the function of the Oriental meridian system. Can be done alone, or in pairs for added fun!
~ Eight Pieces of Brocade Qigong. 'Moving meditation' for health
~ Do-In (pronounced: doh-een) "Exercises for Physical and Spiritual Development". Basically, shiatsu self-massage and stretches.
~ Hara (abdominal) massage
~ Acupressure Facial Self-Massage
~ Chi Self Massage (breathing exercises with the intention of directing 'chi' throughout the organs)
~ Exercises for fertility, pregnancy and reproductive health
~ And more!
