Shiatsu, which translates to "finger pressure", is a form of bodywork evolved from the ancient Chinese medical theories by way of Japan. At its most basic defintion, shiatsu addresses the energetic system of the body through application of pressure, rocking, stretching, holding, and massage along the traditional meridian system, or anywhere that the receiver's energy is sensed to be stuck or deficient.
