A Post About Nothing

This is one of those blog posts that sorta kinda explains the lack of activity here, which I know is bad blogging form, and who knows, maybe you didn't even notice.

Anyway, did you ever just have so much to do, that you respond by doing nothing?

Oh, and then throw sunny 70 degree days into the mix after The Winter From Hell, and what you get is happy lethargy.

Not that I'm feeling lethargic. In fact, I feel better than I have in a while, and I guess, just really don't want to be sitting at my desk in the non-sunniest corner of my house, or my windowless shiatsu office typety-typing when there are daffodils to admire.

Plus, a few more proverbial hats recently got tossed my way, and well, I think I'm needing to build a new hat rack. Which, if you understand it, is quite the clever metaphor, if I may say so myself.

What else?

Oh yeah, the whole 'who-who-what' question, which never really gets answered definitively. That's fine - tweaking is to be expected. But this time, it's a more kind of tectonic plate-shifting going on. I believe my deep underlying message will be the same, but the delivery may take a different form. I just don't know.

As is my way, I tend to attract people who challenge my box, which I never want to admit is a box, or am even aware that it's a box, until it gets challenged. Which I appreciate and welcome. But then I have to rework my whole marketing strategy. Know what I mean?

And, then of course, I'm learning to play bass. Which may take up a great deal of blogging time.

How's your spring going?

Wow perfect timing!
I love the sentences "Anyway, did you ever just have so much to do, that you respond by doing nothing?" and "In fact, I feel better than I have in a while, and I guess, just really don't want to be sitting at my desk in the non-sunniest corner of my house...."

because I have 'lots' to blog about but yet haven't done so! because, I too would rather be doing other things than sitting at desk in corner of room (laptop fried so no option but to sit where desk is!)

just got back from a 4 day 'vacation' and want to blog about it because I learned few soul/enlightening things but yet I haven't done so...hmmmmm guess I'll wait til it's dark or too hot to be outside and do that...til then wanted to say this hit point on with me today!

You too? with the bass!!! argh...I can't remember (big surprise as my brain drifts away a lot - especially in this gorgeous weather) where I saw this -- but another mama recently posted about learning the bass (and her trip to Guitar Center) and I am soooo jealous.

My son took his bass with him to DC - and granted, I've been threatening to learn the thing for years now--but having him take it away -- and then reading a couple blog posts where other not-19 y/o women are actually DOING it ...well...I'm jealous. Invite me to your first concert please!! I'll be clapping so loud my hands will hurt!!!!!!

Um. Yeah. That who-who-what thang can be slippery or at least it demands fluidity doesn't it?
I'm not sure about your box. That's none of my business. And I certainly want you to admire your daffodils. But I do look forward to your blog posts. Write when you can!

Yes! That's exactly what's going on here over at the Slacker household. I'm in full on "spring is here" and "why are taxes due in April anyway?" mode. Really struggling with the "have to" stuff vs. the "want to" stuff.
