We're all concerned about our posture, it seems. But, as biomechanist Katy Bowman says, "Posture is how something looks. Alignment is how it functions."
In this lab, you will begin to learn how to assess your own alignment, and how that may be contributing to or inhibiting your own functionality.
Alignment Basics lays the groundwork for all other Movement Labs, as the skills you acquire here will help you understand and experience how your body is moving (or not moving) based on your muscular tension patterns and habits all the time.... when you stand, sit, walk, carry and even exercise.
